The Foreword establishes the conceptual vocabulary of the Urantia Book — defining terms like Deity, divinity, reality, and the seven Absolutes of Infinity. It is the threshold through which all subsequent revelation must pass.

Before the book can speak of God acting in history, it must first clarify what is meant by God. The Foreword is not preamble — it is foundation. The universe is not chaotic. It is organized, purposive, and inhabited by intelligence at every level. Reality is unified. Deity is one. The Infinite is not distant — it is the ground beneath everything that exists.
